The month that was: March

The first month of autumn was a time of celebration at Montefiore and an opportunity for our residents to get out and about in Sydney, as well as create some wonderful works of art. Our first Life magazine for 2026 also went out the door. Read all this and more in The Month That Was.

 

 

Maintenance Appreciation Day

On 6th March we celebrated Maintenance Appreciation Day! Montefiore’s Building Services team takes care of hundreds of maintenance requests in any given week, including equipment set up, repairs, setting up rooms for new residents, and so much more. They play a pivotal role in making Montefiore a safe, welcoming, and comfortable place for residents and staff. As a token of appreciation and thanks this year, each team member received a personalised ‘Montefiore Maintenance Hero’ mug!

 

 

 

 

 

 

International Women’s Day

March was a month of celebrations, as we also highlighted International Women’s Day! Women make up a large part of Montefiore’s workforce, and on IWD we celebrated the wonderful staff and volunteers who go above and beyond every day to support residents to live with choice, dignity and wellbeing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Art gallery outings

Hunters Hill residents had a fantastic day out at the Art Gallery of NSW, where they explored the ‘Dangerously Modern’ exhibition which showcased the art and lives of 50 trailblazing women artists. Our residents loved learning about the history behind these great works of art and getting some inspiration for their own artistic endeavours.

 

 

 

 

 

    

 

Getting crafty at Randwick

Music and art go hand in hand, providing inspiration, motivation, improving mood and encouraging socialisation. Randwick residents flexed their creative muscles, creating some colourful works of art whilst singing along to favourite songs.
