The month that was: April

We take a look back at April, with celebrations for Purim and Pesach, art achievements, some beautiful garden displays, and so much more.

Chag Purim Sameach!

Montefiore celebrated Purim at the end of March, a joyous occasion for all. Across Randwick, Woollahra, and Hunters Hill, residents and their loved ones celebrated with colourful outfits, traditional Megillah Readings, baking of Hamantaschen, music, dancing, and the giving of Mishloach Manot.

Bella’s art achievement

A huge congratulations to Randwick resident Bella, who was one of 50 finalists selected out of 150 entries in the Randwick 2024 Women’s Art Prize. Bella is very proud (as are we!) to be chosen. Bella and some of her fellow residents were delighted to visit the Lionel Bowen Library in Maroubra to see her artwork on display.

Sharing memories

Photos, bears, books and more – each of these items holds special significance to our Woollahra residents, and they shared the memories and stories behind their chosen item in the latest ‘Show and Tell’ session. These sessions are always a wonderful way for residents to learn something new about each other.

Gardening gurus

Our green-thumbed Hunters Hill residents enjoyed potting some new plants for the garden. Gardening is not only a fun social activity, but also has great benefits for dexterity, relieving stress, and encouraging spending time outdoors in the fresh air.

Chag Pesach Sameach!

Montefiore celebrated Pesach and launched the latest edition of Life magazine. In this issue, discover how we bring the Montefiore Experience to life, the many creative talents of our residents, how cultural connections with volunteers make a difference and so much more.
