Tom Mautner

Tom has an extensive history in the fashion industry, with a lengthy career as a Director and shareholder of Peter Weiss Pty Ltd, following which his own company manufactured apparel under the Pringle of Scotland Label. His close association with Peter Weiss spanned almost 50 years.

More recently, he has been running a private investment business, for the benefit of members of his extended family and a small number of close associates.

Tom was born in Czechoslovakia in 1950 and migrated to Australia in 1969. He and his wife Rose are long-time supporters of many community organisations.

He was elected to the Montefiore Board in 2001 and became Treasurer in 2004. He sits on the Development; Quality, Safety & Risk committees, and chairs the Finance and Investment committees.

As a member of the Development Committee Tom was a passionate contributor to the design and building of both the first stage of the Randwick Campus and the highly successful M Independent Living Apartments. Tom is excited about the committee’s ongoing work on a number of new projects, which are currently at various stages of design and planning approvals.
