Michael Graf

Michael has more than 25 years’ experience in the Information Technology industry, most of it spent in leadership and management positions at IBM Australia. Today he is an advisor and board director for several not-for-profits and start-up enterprises.

Before joining the Montefiore board in 2015, Michael was on the board of JCA (NSW) for 8 years, including 5 years as Vice President and Fundraising Chairman, during which time the organisation raised over $60 million. His JCA Board and Committees roles covered fundraising, donor engagement and marketing.

Currently, Michael is Chair of Good2Give Australia (trading as Workplace Giving Australia) and ShareGift Australia, which focus on all forms of philanthropic giving and volunteering within the workplace environment and the giving of shares or corporate share amounts to charities.

He is a board Director of Philanthropy Australia, the peak body for philanthropy in Australia, where he chairs the Finance, Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee.

Michael was previously on the boards of Technion Australia and the JOINT Australia, and a founding member of the Fundraising Advisory Committee for Raise Foundation.

Michael is also involved in some tech startups. He is the Chair of AbilityMade, a social start-up giving children with cerebral palsy access to custom 3D-printed orthoses that enable them to walk, and of BodyMapp (previously traded as mPort), which a phone-based 3D body scanning service.

He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
