Janine has more than 20 years’ experience in Aged Care, with a specialised focus on caring for people living with Dementia, and Holocaust survivors. She is passionate about making a difference and improving quality of life for consumers.
Janine joined Montefiore Hunters Hill as a Social Worker in 1996, spent time working in Aged Care Psychiatry with Professor Henry Brodaty, then rejoined the organisation in 2002 as Executive Care Manager of Woollahra. As Director of Professional Services, she oversees Residential Care, Allied Health and Research at Montefiore.
Janine sat on the Montefiore Development Committee during the planning phase of the Randwick Campus, and worked to develop the organisation’s Philosophy of Living, a holistic, person-directed approach now known as the Montefiore Experience (ME). Most recently she has overseen the development of the new Montefiore Dementia Model.
In her role overseeing research, Janine continues to collaborate with Professor Brodaty, CHeBA co-director and Montefiore Chair of Healthy Brain Ageing, as well as Research Fellow Dr Jacki Wesson, to investigate and promote best-practice care and training for staff at Montefiore.
