The Role:This role includes both group facilitation and one-on-one therapeutic sessions, supporting residents’ physical mobility, emotional wellbeing, self-expression, and social connection.Your Experience:You will demonstrate confidence in adapting movement practices to accommodate varying levels of mobility and cognitive capacity and feel comfortable working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. You will also bring experience working with aged care residents or other adult populations, alongside a strong commitment to person‑centred practice. Furthermore, you will maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of current research and evidence‑based practice in Dance Movement Therapy and related fields, with the ability to thoughtfully integrate contemporary theory into clinical work.The key to your success is your ability to actively contribute as a team player, sharing expertise and supporting others.  Your key responsibilities will include:Establish and coordinate outcome based therapeutic movement programsDevelop and maintain appropriate documentation for resident care needsEssential Criteria:Recognised postgraduate qualification in Dance Movement Therapy and eligible for professional membership of the Dance Movement Therapy Association of Australasia or an accredited Yoga Therapy qualification and eligible for professional membership with Yoga Australia or AUSactive or AAYT  Ability to effectively supervise staff (e.g. volunteers, students etc.)Excellent communications skills (written, verbal and interpersonal skills)Operate effectively in a team and autonomouslyExcellent organisational skills and time managementComputer skills across a range of programs include Microsoft Word and ExcelWillingness to travel to our campuses at Hunters Hill, Randwick and WoollahraDesired Criteria:Experience working in an aged care setting and working with people living with dementiaExperience in therapeutic care planningYou will be proactive with a fluid mindset and a "can-do attitude".
