Montefiore is in the unique position of being the only Jewish provider of residential care for ageing members of the Jewish community.  Although more than 30% of our residents are financially disadvantaged, all of our care recipients receive the same standard of care, regardless of their financial capacity. This is our benevolent charter. By making a provision in your will for a bequest or endowment to Montefiore, you ensure we can carry on this important work.

What is a bequest?

A provision made in your will for a gift or sum of money to be given to a cause or institution. It’s a personal way to positively impact an organisation you feel has a vital role to play in the community. A bequest may be a stated sum of money, a proportion of your estate or a specific property or shares.

 

How will your bequest be used?

You can choose to have your bequest allocated to a specific purpose. If you do not specify a use, Montefiore will use the bequest in a way that will best support its benevolent charter.

This could include, but may not be limited to, supporting the provision of:

  • Highly skilled staff and staff numbers
  • Allied health services and innovative programs
  • Campus upgrades and construction

What is an endowment?

It is an invested sum of money, set up as a fund. The income generated by these funds is then used to support the fund’s purpose, which can be a specific fund in your name, or the general ongoing support of Montefiore.

Why consider an endowment?

To help ensure Montefiore can continue to provide unrivalled aged care for our community. An endowment supports our ongoing projects and funds the innovative projects and programs that make Montefiore industry leaders in aged care.
