David Gonski AC is one of Australia’s most distinguished business leaders and corporate citizens, recognised for his service to education and the arts through charitable support and the development of policy initiatives; and to business, law, commerce and the community through philanthropic activities.

He was appointed to the Order of Australia as an Officer (AO) in 2002, received the Centenary Medal in 2003, and was appointed as a Companion of the Order of Australia (AC) in 2007.

David is Chairman of Investec (Australia) Limited, the Guardians of the Future Fund, Coca-Cola Amatil Limited and Ingeus Ltd. He is Chancellor of the University of New South Wales, Chairman of the National E Health Transition Authority Ltd, the UNSW Foundation Ltd, Swiss Re Life & Health Australia Ltd and the Sydney Theatre Company. He is also a Director of Infrastructure NSW. Over the years, David has given his unstinting support to Montefiore.
