Opportunity to work for an industry leading aged care providerAward winning and innovative Aged Care Provider, including recipient of Voice Project’s "Best Workplace Award 2021"Collegial team environmentRobust inter-disciplinary frameworkPermanent part time position available in Hunters HillMontefiore is seeking to appoint a Social Worker to join our supportive team at our Hunters Hill campus on a permanent part time basis. The Social Worker is an integral part of our care leadership team which operates within an inter-disciplinary framework providing support to our consumers and their families.Reporting to the Social Work Managers this role offers the perfect work life balance for a dedicated Social Worker who is passionate about embracing the aged community and working as part of an innovative and driven inter-disciplinary team.We are looking for self-motivated, energetic and skilled Social Workers who value interesting and varied work, and who can contribute to the high standard of holistic care we strive to provide for all of our consumers. The Social Worker will work closely with the Executive Care Manager and will be involved in a range of tasks including clinical social work support, family conferencing, inter-disciplinary team meetings, best practice implementation and special projects. Montefiore provides opportunities for regular professional supervision, team support and professional development. Essential:Degree in Social WorkMinimum 2 years’ experience as a Social WorkerKnowledge of aged careTherapeutic and counselling skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsIntermediate level computer literacyDesirable:Russian speakers would be highly regardedExperience working within Aged Care or with an Elderly clienteleExperience with Guardianship issues and complex family situationsIn conjunction with the essential criteria, you have a strong work ethic and can demonstrate an understanding of the Jewish community and culture.
