The key to success in this position will be your demonstrated experience working clinically with older adults, including those living with dementia.The primary objectives will involve, but are not limited to:Providing a mental health assessment service to consumers in accordance with evidence-based practiceTherapy provision to maximise consumer’s immediate wellbeingProviding mental health training to staffDeveloping of key policies and procedures that positively impact mental health of consumersSupporting consumers, staff, and families with behaviour managementEssential Criteria:Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with full AHPRA RegistrationA minimum of 5 years’ post graduate experiencePrevious experience working with older adults on a range of clinical issuesPrevious experience working with adults living with dementia and mild cognitive impairmentHigh level of written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated experience working within an inter-disciplinary teamGood time management skillsProficient computer skillsWillingness to travel to other sites as requiredDesirable Criteria:Member of APSIn conjunction with the essential criteria, you enjoy being hands-on, have a strong work ethic and can demonstrate an understanding of the Jewish community and culture.
