Montefiore is a nationally awarded provider of aged care services in Sydney, and one of the largest not-for-profit Jewish community organisations in the Southern Hemisphere.
Together our board, executive team and ambassadors offer a wealth of expertise in a diverse range of professions, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of best practice and innovation in the field of aged care.
An elected Board of Management, whose members act in a voluntary capacity, administer the organisation. Led by President David Freeman AM, the Board is responsible for overseeing Montefiore’s continuing financial viability, operations, corporate governance and strategic planning. Its members have a diverse range of skills and experience including legal, medical, finance and business backgrounds.
Our executive team, led by CEO Robert Orie, brings many decades of aged care industry, clinical and allied health experience to Montefiore. Our Directors and General Managers look after each of the key areas of the organisation.
Montefiore is fortunate to have three distinguished Ambassadors. The Hon. Malcolm Turnbull MP, former Prime Minister is a longtime supporter of the organisation. World-renowned dementia expert Scientia Professor Henry Brodaty OAM acts as Montefiore Chair of Healthy Brain Ageing. Distinguished business leader David Gonski AC is a former board member and lifelong supporter of the organisation.
